Philippe Orreindy began by making commissions from large companies, short films on cultural subjects, and documentaries for television.
He has concentrated on drama since his short film "J'attendrai le suivant..." ("I'll wait for the next one") was nominated for an Oscar and a César and won more than 35 international awards including the European Film Award.
He continues to make documentaries. In 2016, "L’Océan Électro" won the "Sacem award for the best musical documentary 2016”.
His 2017 short film, pre-acquired by France 2, “Tous les jours” ("Everyday"), about moral harassment, follows the same trajectory as his feature film project “Les yeux fermés”. In 2018, he was awarded subvention from "Ile de France Region" to assist with its development.
